We are pleased to introduce you to Ms Shi our new Family Link Worker. As well as being our Family Link Worker Ms Shi leads on Attendance across the school, is a Teaching Assistant and is our Senior Lunchbreak Supervisor (she wears many hats!)
Introduction from Ms Shi
I’m excited to have joined Hambrook Primary School as Teaching Assistant, Attendance Lead, Senior Lunchbreak Supervisor and Family Link. With previous experience in education and passion for supporting students and families, I am committed to create an inclusive, engaging and nurturing learning environment where everyone can thrive.
In my capacity as a Family Link, I serve as a bridge between the school and families, fostering strong relationships and ensuring that parents feel supported and informed. I offer guidance and resources to families facing challenges related to their child’s education and help families navigate school systems and access support agencies.
I am dedicated to ensuring student’s best interest at the fore front of my roles at school. I am looking forward to engaging with the Hambrook School community and working with parents to help our students shine!
If you would like to get in touch with me to arrange a conversation, please contact me via school email at office@hambrookprimary.org.uk marked for my attention. I will be on the gate every Thursday afternoon if you would like to meet me or ask any questions. I look forward to meeting you all!

For our Stay and Play this winter, we will have a number of team games for parents and children to enjoy together as well as some free play time within our play spaces at school. Safe Parking
Please can we ask all parents/carers to take care when driving around our school and park safely. Please use parking around the common and walk to the school gates, dropping off children by our gates is dangerous and puts our children at risk. Please do not block other cars in or driveways, thank you.

Holidays in term time
A polite reminder that we do not authorise any holidays in term time. We recommend all parents/carers read our Attendance Policy and are familiar with it. It is important that all parents/carers understand that if you choose to take your child/ren out of school for a holiday in term time you may be issued with a fine from the Local Authority. Our policy includes more details on this.
In the event of information coming to light that an absence is due to a holiday, the policy will be followed and this will be coded as unauthorised.
Please be aware that the school does not provide work for pupils who take holiday in term time.
